A fine and delicate ground cover, Star-flowered Solomon’s Seal is native to watercourses in mid- to high elevations from BC to California (USDA 5-9).

It needs full to partial shade and rich, loamy soil.

A dainty plant, reaching only 10” in height, its leaves are at near right angles to the unbranched stems.

Star-shaped, white blossoms appear between April and June, followed by pea-sized berries that are green with purple stripes, turning dark purple at maturity.
